YEMEN EXPLAINED

time.comYemen was once under the influence of the UK.

It's Saudi Arabia, the USA and al Qaeda versus Iran.

It's about getting a war going so as to make lots of money.

The cause of the conflict is Yemen (above).

On the one side are the Shia Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The Shia make up 40% of the population of Yemen.

Iran is the main Shia power in the region.

On the other side is the mainly Sunni government of President Hadi, which has recently had to flee from the capital of Yemen.

The Shia rebels are being opposed by:

1. Saudi Arabia

2. The USA and the UK

3. Al Qaeda and ISIS

4. Various Sunni states including the United Arab Emirates, Jordan Morocco, Sudan, Qatar and Kuwait.

If the Shia rebels are pushed back, al Qaeda and ISIS are likely to gain more territory.

Will not disagree Aangirfan, it does seem difficult to imagine that the Saudis are acting without at least a nod from the US. The position of the US n the region however appears to be changing, this may well be the ploy that precedes the classic imperial double cross obviously.
But there are other strange signs. The US is fighting on the side of Iran, Hezbollah and Syria in Syria and Iraq, although there are some big issues regarding the Western funding and arming of the jihadists simultaneously. Earlier this month the US quietly released the details of investigations that looked at Israeli nuclear espionage and theft against the US.
The US threat assessment delivered a week or two ago excluded Iran and Hezbollah from the list of groups that threaten the US.
There seems to be power struggle going on in the US, at the heart of the Empire between the softer imperialists, the pragmatists and the Neoconservative maniacs. The softer imperialists have done a lot of bad things. They destroyed Libya. Destroyed it. But the whole worldview of the other group is psychopathic imperial mania and grand delusion.
They are still pretending the US can go around the world, break every rule, bomb every enemy and impose it's will on the world through force.
They cannot, the Iraq war proved that, and they do not have enough military resources to contemplate an invasion of Iran. Thanks for the article, I am sure it overall makes a lot of sense of this confusing situation.
As far as Yemen goes, it will now be destroyed by a massive large scale civil war like Syria it seems.I bet the big joke will be that after Yemen is destroyed, it will be used as a platform and rear area for when the time comes for the West to turn the jihadi Frankenstein upon the House of Saud, pure speculation obviously.

Thinking 'As Serpents' I expect a crisis in Oman: as Yemen it is an ideal proxy between big ones as $audis and Iran. A False Flag into the Ormuz Strict could be a YHWH gift for the tribe in Jerusalem (Land of Palestine).

It may not be much of a war, but it's the only one--in Yemen--that we've got.
